Upper Hunter Shire Council has being asked to explain 37-million dollars in so-called loans it apparently plans to take out over the next two years.
Page 175 of the council’s financial plan for the future adopted last week lists loans of 19.6 and 17.4 million dollars being taken out over the next two years.
Councillor Elizabeth Flaherty said she’s been asking since May what this money is for but is still to receive an answer.
