Teachers sought to deliver new STEM bushfire education in Upper Hunter schools

Year Five teachers are being sought in the Upper Hunter this morning to deliver an innovative new STEM program on bushfire safety.

Project Firestorm challenges young students to take their local environment and bushfire history to develop ways to prepare, survive and recover from blazes in the future.

RFS Community Education Manager Anthony Bradstreet said the program takes learning about bushfires to a new level for our children.

To date the program has delivered solutions including fire hunting robots to fatigue detecting goggles.
