A former Muswellbrook man will be allowed to serve a jail sentence in the community following a home invasion on his property by the family of his ex-girlfriend.
The 25-year-old, who we can’t name for legal reasons, was found guilty in November of two stabbings and domestic violence-related offences back in July this year.
Magistrate Kevin Hockey warned the man he would go straight to jail to serve the 18-month sentence if he breached the Intensive Community Corrections Order.

A 48-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy are currently facing charges connected to the incident in the Newcastle District Court.
