A man born in the Upper Hunter has added a Grammy Award to his long list of achievements.
Legendary guitarist Tommy Emmanuel, originally from Muswellbrook, picked up the prestigious prize in the Arrangement, Instrumental Or A Cappella category.
The Grammy was for his instrumental rendition of the Johnny Cash classic ‘Folsom Prison Blues’ released last year.

The song was produced by Johnny’s son, John Carter Cash.
It is Tommy’s first Grammy win after being nominated three times.
