The number of patients arriving at Singleton Hospital by ambulance has risen sharply over the past year.
Data from the Bureau of Health Stats shows 466 people presented to the emergency department with NSW Ambulance paramedics in the September quarter. That number was 395 at the same time last year.
The number of ED presentations overall is also up by 4.6 percent to 4342 for July, August and September.
The time it takes to start treatment in Muswellbrook Hospital’s Emergency Department is on the improve.
The Bureau of Health Information report found ED treatments started on time in 72.3 percent of cases. That’s up from 67 for the same quarter last year.
The longest waiting time for a non-urgent case was 1 hour and 54 minutes.
