A service has been held in Muswellbrook to commemorate a famous battle from World War One.
Reverend Angela Peverell led proceedings at the Light Horsemen Memorial on Brook Street to mark the Battle of Beersheba.
She was joined by representatives from Muswellbrook RSL.

The sculpture commemorates the charge of the 4th and 12th Australian Light Horse Regiments on the town of Beersheba in World War One.
