Environmentalists have labled a fresh application for coal exploration licences west of Muswellbrook as ‘bizarre’.
Korean company Kepco are seeking to renew two licences that expired over the past month for the Bylong Valley despite a previous attempt to mine coal in the area rejected all the way to the high court.
Nic Glyde from Lock The Gate said the fresh attempt defies logic.
