The State Government looks set to remove the controversial Council Code Of Conduct process.
Local Government Minister Ron Hoenig has described the system as a “shambles”.
Upper Hunter Shire Council has used the process against rogue councillor Elizabeth Flaherty with numerous complaints made against her from inside the organisation during this term in office.
