An Upper Hunter Shire Councillor said he and his colleagues are not paid enough to do the job of representing the community.
Councillor Ron Campbell stood up at this week’s ordinary meeting and attacked the rate of pay they receive.
From this Saturday…he will be paid a fee of $17,680 a year.

Mayor Maurice Collison’s set to collect almost $38,000
Councillor Campbell told the council meeting….the role sometimes comes at great personal cost.
His stance was endorsed by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
