The Golden Highway has been reopened in both directions overnight following a three-vehicle smash at Cassalis.
One man was critically injured in the incident just before lunchtime near Thompson Road.
He and a second man were airlifted by the Westpac Rescue Hospital to John Hunter Hospital

A woman was taken to Merriwa Hospital with minor injuries.
