Housing approval rates fall in the Upper Hunter

The level of building activity across the Upper Hunter continues on a downward slide.

An analysis of the stats by the Housing Industry Association shows overall resident building approvals in our three local shires fell by up to 40 percent in 2023.

But the Association’s Hunter Executive Director Craig Jennion said it’s the opposite when it comes to major home renovations.
