A man has been refused bail after facing court accused of threatening people in Merriwa with a baseball bat.
The 39-year-old was arrested on Cullingral Road on Monday night after police were told the man had allegedly threatened two occupants of a home before leaving.
He was arrested a short time later nearby.

Police say he was known to the alleged victims.
He’ll reappear in court on April 15.
