A decision to reject a development application for a private helipad in Merriwa is headed for the courts.
John and Isabella McFadden tried to convince Upper Hunter Shire to approve the DA but councillors voted 4-3 against in September last year.
The Hunter Valley Newsroom can confirm an appeal has now been lodged against the decision in the New South Wales Land and Environment Court.
