The debacle that is MR358 now extends from the Upper Hunter Shire Council into the State Government.
The Hunter Valley Newsroom can reveal an external investigation by the Office of Local Government into the stuff up in 2019 still has not been completed over three years later.

A spokesperson for the OLG said the investigation into this matter is ongoing. As a result, it would not be appropriate to comment further.
The road has been closed since the collapse occurred three and a half years ago.
A 50-million dollar rebuild is now waiting on Federal funding being handed over to the council.
