Muswellbrook Bypass works may be brought forward

The bulldozers may start to move on Muswellbrook Bypass sooner than we’ve been told.

The major infrastructure project was originally meant to start just after the Singleton Bypass earthworks commenced but was then put back due to labor shortages.

This has now improved and the Singleton Bypass is running ahead of schedule.

Regional Roads Minister Jenny Aitchison raised fast-tracking the start of the project with Federal Infrastructure Minister Catherine King during a visit to the Upper Hunter on Friday.

This will be considered as part of this year’s Federal Budget.
