A man has reportedly pleaded guilty to supplying drugs across the Upper Hunter.

The Telegraph reports 36-year-old Ryan Bateman made the admission when appearing in Newcastle Local Court yesterday via videolink from jail.

The Police Statement of Facts claim Bateman was being watched last year by officers who listened in on more than 10,000 of his phone calls.

They also monitored his text messages over a six-week period as part of Strike Force Smollett while he was allegedly supplying large amounts of the party drug G-H-B.

The case has been adjourned to the District Court later this month for a sentence date to be set.
