Upper Hunter Shire Council has resolved to invite Premier Chris Minns to visit the area to see firsthand the impact drought conditions are having on local farmers.
That was the outcome of a meeting held at the council chambers to discuss the worsening situation.
GM Greg McDonald said they’ll also be asking for the shire to be officially drought-declared.
