Mediation in an appeal against a council decision to knock back a private helipad at Merriwa will be held next week.
Sydney couple John and Izabella McFadden lodged an appeal in the Land and Environment Court after their DA was rejected by Upper Hunter Shire Council.
The decision went 4-3 when councilors voted on the application 12 months ago.

The conference on Wednesday will include an on-site inspection at the property on King Edward The Fifth Avenue.
Over 1,000 objections in various forms have been lodged by nearby residents since the proposal was first floated.
