A warning this morning about smoke haze in Singleton and surrounds this morning.
It’s the result of a bushfire burning at the army barracks off Range Road over the weekend.
The Rural Fire Service said it expects it will be a few more days before it is fully extinguished.
No properties are under threat. The under-control fire has been burning for several days.
The alert level is currently set at ADVICE, which means people nearby should monitor for updates throughout the day.
Meantime….RFS crews from the Hunter Valley District have spent the weekend helping out their weary colleagues on the Mid-North Coast dealing with multiple large fires around Kempsey.
