A major hazard reduction burn at Denman has allayed residents’ fears about the risk of bushfires igniting near their homes this Summer.
Fire crews burned 40 hectares of grassland at Denman Common on the eve of the official bushfire season in the Upper Hunter.
Some of the grass was up to two metres high.
