Uproar over selective green waste tip fee relief

A call by a coucnillor to provide free tip drop-offs for green waste across the Upper Hunter Shire appears to have fallen on deaf ears.

Temporary relief from the cost has been waved for Aberdeen residents after the devastation caused by Wednesday’s storms.

Muswellbrook Shire has also dropped the fees for all residents for the next week.

Councillor Troy Stolz said the decision to exclude the rest of Upper Hunter Shire ratepayers defies logic and is unfair.
