Three motions at an Extraordinary Meeting of Upper Hunter Shire Council yesterday on the future of the Hunter Warbirds Museum.
The big black shed has lost ratepayers over $2-million since it opened several years ago.
The meeting started with a call from Troy Stolz for more transparency with the current E-O-I process to avoid any potential corruption allegations. That was voted down 7-2.
Then Councillor Adam Williamson called for the process to be scrapped in favour of giving visitors free entry and starting to charge aircraft owners to put their planes on display. The motion was also defeated 7-2.
Then the Mayor, Maurice Collison moved a motion to return to the process already underway but withdrew it after he was told that was the outcome anyway following the previous two votes.
