A man has been flown to Newcastle after a serious accident near Singleton.
Emergency services including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were called to the New England Highway at Whittingham just after 4pm following reports of a serious motor vehicle accident.
NSW Ambulance Paramedics and the choppers Critical Care Medical Team treated a 34-year-old man at the scene.
He was trapped in the vehicle before being released by rescue services.
The man has now been airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital with multiple injuries and was last reported to be in a stable condition.
The accident was between the New England Highway and Range Road closing the Mitchell Line of Road for some time.
