A sensational start for Merriwa local Lachlan Walmsley for his new British rugby league club Wakefield Trinity.
The former Scone Thoroughbred scored three tries in their opening 1895 Cup game against the York Knights.
Trinity ran out easy winners 40-to-4 away after leading 24-nil at halftime.
