Kmart has issued an urgent recall for a popular product, warning customers to “immediately stop” using it after reports of it exploding.
The Anko Glass Flip Pickle Jar, which gained viral fame on TikTok for its clever design that separates pickles from their juice, has been flagged as dangerous after several serious incidents.
The recall applies to jars sold between February 15, 2023, and March 3, 2025.
According to the recall notice, the jars can break when used to store certain fruits or vegetables in liquid.
Fermented foods can create gas buildup, potentially causing the jar to explode or making the lid nearly impossible to open.
Public safety authorities have confirmed that injuries, including lacerations, have already occurred.
Kmart is urging customers to stop using the jars immediately and return them to the nearest Kmart store for a refund with no receipt required.
