Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first motion poster for James Gunn’s highly anticipated film, Superman, confirming that the trailer will debut on Thursday, December 19, 2024 (US date – It will be Friday for Aussies). This teaser showcases a new version of John Williams’ iconic Superman score and features David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Kal-El, highlighting the character’s struggle to balance his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing in a world that often dismisses kindness as outdated.

The film’s cast includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, alongside Isabel Merced as Hawkgirl and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner. Filming wrapped up in July 2024.

Superman is set to hit theatres on July 11, 2025, and will set the start of a fresh approach to the DC Universe. The motion poster invites fans to “Look Up,” setting an optimistic tone for what is expected to be a pivotal entry in the superhero genre.
